We are seeking a strategic and solutions-driven VP, Technology and Business Innovation to lead the development, optimization, and execution of technology initiatives across the organization. This role will serve as a key partner between business operations and technology teams, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance overall customer experience within the mortgage lending environment.


The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of mortgage operations and Encompass functionality, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that support organizational growth and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization externally with industry partners, technology providers, investors, customers, and professional associations to strengthen strategic relationships and elevate the company’s market position.
  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and contribute to corporate strategy and growth initiatives. 
  • Define and execute the company’s multi-year technology, innovation, and digital transformation roadmap. 
  • Lead enterprise-wide technology investments, modernization efforts, and business transformation initiatives. 
  • Provide strategic oversight of Encompass, automation platforms, integrations, and enterprise applications. 
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experience. 
  • Champion AI, advanced analytics, workflow automation, and emerging technologies to create competitive advantage. 
  • Establish governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and vendor management frameworks. 
  • Develop enterprise performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support executive decision-making. 
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technology and business innovation teams. 
  • Serve as the executive liaison between technology, operations, sales, compliance, and executive leadership. 
Requirements
  • Minimum 4+ years of Encompass experience required, including Loan Origination and/or Loan Servicing systems.
  • Strong expertise in Encompass Business Rules, workflow management, system administration, and process automation.
  • Extensive mortgage industry experience with strong knowledge of loan operations, compliance, servicing, and lending workflows.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technology initiatives, operational transformation projects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business processes and implement innovative technical solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience leveraging data analytics and operational reporting to drive strategic business decisions and performance improvements.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and the ability to influence organizational adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience leading business development, operational improvement, or digital transformation initiatives within the mortgage or financial services industry preferred.

Salary Description
$210,000.00 to $250,000.00/year
