Job Description

With minimal direct supervision, the incumbent is primarily responsible for the management of the precision parts cleaning product line. Incumbent provides product expertise from presale through post sale.  As the product line expert, the incumbent assists in driving sales to end-users through the Gosiger and non-Gosiger distribution channels.  Incumbent participates in trade organizations, trade-shows, and presents seminars on precision parts washing.  This position is accountable for sales growth/market penetration through the identified account channels. 



 



The incumbent is responsible to define and implement the strategies, plans and tactics to establish, develop, manage and maintain strong distribution partner and end-user customer relationships. This position is considered a Safety Sensitive position.



 



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of parts cleaning products and related processes, visits manufacturers, and vendors/suppliers of solvent and accessories.  Assists in analyzing opportunities for new cleaning products.  Maintains a working familiarity with competitors, competitive products and competitors’ methods helping Gosiger establish and retain a leadership position on the cutting edge of technology.

  • Responsible for becoming the in-house product line expert through on-going product training, and applications engineering. Trains distributors and end-users on how to utilize the product.  Assist in the sales process by demonstrating the “ease of use” of the system and drive the simplistic approach to operating the system, etc. 

  • Through knowledge and experience of the metal working industry, performs consult to sales, and customers, on product applicability in manufacturing production environment.  Presents seminars to educate sales team, prospects and customers.  Plans and coordinates sales events and open houses with the distribution partners.

  • Serves as the technical pre-sale product resource for the sales team.  Assists sales team, distribution partners and customers see product value for cost. Performs as the primary point of contact to assist distributors to qualify potential customers.

  • Reviews customer requests and recommends the best known solutions to their part cleaning needs.  Visits customers with responsible sales person to present solutions.  Completes capacity calculations to verify machine needed based on desired part quantities.

  • Sets up test washes to prove performance to cleanliness standards.  Operates test equipment to verify the results of the cleaning tests.

  • Assists and supports customer installations and ensures they achieve maximum efficiency in the parts cleaning process.  Trains new customers on the operations of the parts washer. 

  • Conducts in-house training classes, on a scheduled basis, for customers and in-house technical employees on operations and processes. 

  • Incumbent is responsible for working closely with Marketing Team for product releases, sales materials, brochures, quotes, customer email blasts, and ensures website is current and fresh. 

  • Responsible for hi-level customer satisfaction from purchase through installation. 

  • The incumbent must maintain business expenses within budget and/or reasonable limits.

  • Maintains a strong teamwork relationship with distribution partners and Gosiger team members.

  • Responsible for maintaining technical, commercial and interpersonal communications skills through continuous development.

  • Attends and actively participates in supplier and company sales training programs.

  • As a member of the Gosiger Sales Team; trains, assists and supports other team members within Gosiger on problem solving and meeting division/company goals.

  • Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.    

  • Based on business need, assists/supports in other job functions within department, division and/or company within scope and ability.  Assumes accountability and responsibility for assigned projects and programs.
