MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.

Description

ROLES:

Under the leadership of the Systems Support Manager, this position will support business operations by leading Systems enhancements and modifications. This person will work directly with end users to support gathering and documenting business requirements. This person will also work with other members of the Systems team, including Systems Analysts and support staff, Development team, and project management. Create test scripts and perform systems User/Integration testing, training (including documentation of any user guides) are also required. This will also include setting priorities, reporting status, and ensuring proper processes are followed from beginning to post implementation of a project. This role will focus more on medium to larger projects, but there is also support required for minor changes and minimal support for day-to-day operational issues.

This is a full-time position at our North America HQ, though occasional travel may be required to travel to satellite offices in U.S.A.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support gathering business requirements and identify areas of improvements, gaps in business processes, and work with team members to determine solutions to complicated business workflows. 25%
  • Support project development stages, such as test script development, user and integration testing, training, and post launch support. Work with other systems analysts for support as needed at the direction of System Support Manager. 25%
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing review of project status, from business requirements validation to development status, user testing, implementation and post implementation.  Post launch review of major projects and include lessons learned and help define continuous improvement 15%
  • Keep project team updated on status and work closely with project management members to ensure current project status/schedules are maintained and communicated to key stakeholders 15%
  • Support development of project schedule, including identifying milestones and accurate timelines. Minimize risks to projects and delays by communicating and identify challenges that need to be addressed along the way 10%
  • Work with other members in systems team to support day-to-day operational challenges and help identify solutions to ongoing problems 10%

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

  • Business documentation is completed in a timely manner to support project launch schedules. Requires approval and agreement from all stakeholders and project team
  • Requirements scope should have minimal change from time of approval and during development stages.
  • Gathers lessons learned for the successes and shortcomings after each project, and uses this to minimize risk for future tasks
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and support best practices for process changes. This includes approvals and general change management processes.
  • Able to adapt to changing environment and keep project scope under control
  • Holds meetings with appropriate teams in a timely manner
  • JIRA tickets and project plans are updated on a frequent basis as needed to communicate with the project team

 

Required Qualifications

Expected Hours of work

  • This position typically works 8hrs per day M-F, with possibility of Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Weekend and after-hours support will be required to support project launches and other initiatives as needed

Travel

  • Minimal travel required, including occasional trips to local warehouses
  • May occasionally require extended trips to support project launches

Skills/abilities

  • Ability to communicate between business teams and technical teams
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within other business units
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Experience writing queries using SQL or other tools
  • Capable of writing business documentation and/or technical diagrams

Work Environment

This position is primarily a professional, office-based job, including use of phones, computers, copy machines, etc…

Occasional work at the parts distribution center required

Physical Demands

This position is primarily office-based; however, some lifting may be required.

Employment Type - Non-Exempt, Hourly Wage 

Compensation - The expected hiring range for this position is $26.13 - 41.33, depending on experience and qualifications.
