Job Description

The Logistics Analyst will support SKSG’s IST Sustainment Contract and life cycle management for our client’s portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations and other efforts. Our team of collaborative self-starters is focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate trade and travel. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide surveillance technology to protect our nation. This position requires the ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, education, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verification; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. 

This position requires the incumbent to apply skill in integrated logistics support (ILS) principles to create systems that last longer, require less support, and reduce overall life-cycle costs. In addition, this role will provide ILS input in the development of requirements for new systems, in the review of the current program documentation, during environmental and real estate planning, in the systems engineering process, and in development of training documentation. 

  • Generate and review prime contractor ILS deliverables for adequacy to include weekly and monthly reports. 
  • Collect, monitor, and track deployed system performance. 
  • Develop plans and metrics for maintenance and repair requirements, including physical inspection and physical checkout. 
  • Identify and help to resolve operating and support deficiencies. 
  • Assess, implement and improve operational and sustainment logistics processes and procedures.
  • Develop strategies to optimize system performance. 
  • Assist with acquisition and implementation of operator and maintenance training program. 
  • Participate in implementation of system engineering changes. 
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings by developing briefing materials, meeting agendas, and minutes and tracking action items to resolution. 
  • Works with the designated Contracting Officer Representative (COR), to stay abreast of contract changes, issues, and challenges. 
  • Prepare documents in support of COR to facilitate government acceptance of equipment, repairs, services, and other contract deliverables. 
  • Input, query, and analyze data from numerous CBP database sources, and prepare reports and requests. 
  • Support Asset Management team. 
  • Participate as a vital crew member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization.
  • Promote a team approach and maintain communications with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
  • Collaborate with other company personnel to meet organizational deadlines and objectives.
  • Complete daily reports and timecards and support the IST Sustainment Program Manager, Director of Field Operations, and Logistics Manager.
  • Performs timecard updates daily and signs timecard weekly to support reporting and payroll activities.
  • Maintains objective performance data to include significant cost variations, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.

Education

  • Associate degree preferred

Experience

  • Experience in most of the major logistics element areas.
  • Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Systems (IST), Remote Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), and/or Mobile Systems portfolios preferred. 

License, Cert or Registration

  • DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired. 

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
