Job Description

Systems Architect (Senior‑Level)

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior‑Level Systems Architect to lead the design and development of enterprise‑scale solutions across complex GEOINT environments. This role supports mission‑critical capabilities by ensuring architectures align with enterprise strategy, user requirements, and evolving technology needs.


Your Role

As a Senior‑Level Systems Architect, you will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across solution, data, platform, and cloud services. You will guide engineering teams in delivering scalable, secure, and mission‑aligned architectures while ensuring traceability to enterprise requirements and strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide Mid‑ and Junior‑level architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures
  • Ensure architecture traceability and alignment with Enterprise Architecture and enterprise requirements
  • Lead analysis of user requirements, workflows, and system limitations to improve or modernize solutions
  • Guide the development of architecture design changes based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies
  • Support the design of applications, APIs, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure solutions
  • Provide oversight to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with mission goals
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure integration of architectures across systems and domains

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or:
    • 12+ years of experience as a Systems Architect in lieu of a degree
  • 12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting one or more of the following:
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Solution Architecture
    • Data Architecture
    • DoDAF (Department of Defense Architecture Framework)
    • IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field
  • Working knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
  • Federated Enterprise Architect Certification, such as:
    • Certified Enterprise Architect
