Job Description
Overview We are seeking a full-time Tax Accountant at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the completion, review, and filing of corporate tax returns, preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies, and maintenance and reconciliation of all general ledger tax accounts. Essential Functions Complete corporate tax returns and remit tax payments Research changes in tax laws/policies and communicate results of research in written and verbal format Maintain/reconcile general ledger tax accounts Assist with global income tax provision, including the preparation and review of local income tax provisions Assist with transfer pricing matters including documentation, compliance, and audits Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field AND a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Must possess experience and proficiency filing Multi-State Sales and Use tax returns Must possess experience and proficiency with filing corporate income tax returns or related experience Must be detail-oriented, work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, and able to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others, and possess excellent time management/follow-up/organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality Desired Qualifications Experience working with Oracle or other ERP systems Experience with filing property tax returns CPA certification Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
