    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Proficient in the use of computers and the ability to use a variety of computer applications software such as Microsoft Office Suite
    • Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures
    • Excellent grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills
    • Ability to compose, compile and summarize information
    • Ability to efficiently gather and analyze data
    • Ability to prioritize and schedule variable tasks
    • Ability to exercise good judgment, take initiative and work with minimal supervision
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills in English
    • Ability to interact and communicate with staff and the public
    • Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
    • Ability to be flexible and work well with others

     

     EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

    • Minimum of a two-year degree and one year of related work experience

     

     

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  12 months
     
    SALARY:  Salary Grade 56

     

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

     

     
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Perform usual office routines and practices associated with a busy and productive office.
    2. Operate microcomputer, scanner, copier, fax machine, and printer.
    3. Prepare general correspondence, memos, reports, and newsletters as directed.
    4. Receive and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
    5. Maintain records as directed.
    6. Maintain personnel file for Career Technical Education teachers.
    7. Maintain up-to-date vendor catalog file.
    8. Assist coordinators and secretary/treasurer as needed.
    9. Assist with Career Technical Education testing process.
    10. Assist with scanning/scoring and maintaining Career and Technical Education State Assessments.
    11. Deliver and retrieve equipment.
    12. Participate in training deemed appropriate for the position.
    13. Perform other duties as assigned. 

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • The ability to be physically active, which includes, but is not limited to, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, sitting and walking.
    • Ability to reach with hands and arms routinely.
    • Ability to operate technology for prolonged periods of time.
    • Ability to carry furniture such as tables and chairs, supplies and materials
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and drive delivery vehicle (station wagon, van and/or truck) to a variety of sites.
    • Must be able to visually and auditorily effectively communicate with staff and students.
