Role Summary
This is not a project coordination
role. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving complex client
implementations from mobilisation through to go-live and post-go-live
transition. The role requires strong ownership, technical understanding,
documentation discipline, stakeholder management and the ability to bring
structure and control to multi-product client deliveries. The Technical
Delivery Manager will sit at the centre of Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA,
Support, Customer Success, Leadership and client stakeholders. They will be
expected to manage detailed implementation plans, technical dependencies,
risks, actions, decisions, client communications and go-live readiness.
The ideal candidate does not need to
be a developer, but must be technically literate enough to understand APIs,
integrations, data flows, environments, authentication, releases, testing and
production readiness. They must be able to challenge vague updates, identify
missing dependencies, escalate risks early and communicate clearly with both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Client Implementation Delivery
You will lead end-to-end client
implementations, ensuring that delivery is properly planned, documented,
tracked and driven to closure. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning
detailed implementation plans covering scope, milestones, deliverables,
dependencies, risks, issues, actions, owners and target dates. - Coordinating
multiple product and technical workstreams across customer screening,
transaction screening, list management, integrations, reporting,
configuration and release activity. - Ensuring
implementation plans are realistic, dependency driven and aligned with
client expectations, contractual commitments and internal delivery
capacity. - Driving
internal teams to close actions, blockers and decisions, ensuring that
nothing is left undocumented or unowned. - Capturing
and tracking client commitments to ensure they are followed through. - Identifying
gaps between agreed scope, client expectations and product capability, and
escalating or managing these through the appropriate decision making or
change control process.
Technical Delivery Coordination
You will work closely with technical
and product teams to understand delivery requirements, solution design,
dependencies and implementation constraints. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating
implementation activities across Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Support
and Customer Success. - Managing
technical implementation dependencies relating to APIs, SFTP/file-based
integrations, data setup or migration, environments, configuration,
SSO/authentication, testing and deployment. - Supporting
release and deployment planning across development, UAT, staging and
production environments. - Ensuring
technical blockers are identified early, clearly documented and progressed
with defined ownership and target dates. - Distinguishing
clearly between defects, enhancements, configuration items, implementation
tasks and change requests. - Translating
technical issues into clear business impact, options and next steps for
internal and client stakeholders.
Documentation, Governance and
Reporting
A major part of this role is
maintaining clear, accurate and reliable project documentation. The successful
candidate must be able to produce high quality written materials that can be
used by internal teams, senior leadership and clients. Key responsibilities
include:
- Creating
and maintaining implementation plans, RAID logs, action trackers,
dependency logs, decision logs, meeting notes, UAT plans, release
readiness checklists, go-live plans, status reports and change control
records. - Ensuring
project documentation is accurate, current, structured and detailed enough
for teams and clients to rely on. - Preparing
clear and professional status reports covering progress, completed
activity, upcoming milestones, risks, issues, blockers, dependencies,
decisions required and escalation points. - Maintaining
traceability between requirements, delivery activities, testing, defects,
releases and client sign-off. - Ensuring
delivery, tracking and documentation tools are structured, maintained and
used consistently so that project status, ownership, risks and
dependencies remain clear.
Client and Stakeholder Communication
You will act as a central point of
coordination for client implementation activity and will be expected to
communicate clearly, confidently and professionally. Key responsibilities
include:
- Running
internal and client facing project meetings with clear agendas, structured
updates, documented actions, owners and follow-up. - Preparing
concise written updates for senior internal and external stakeholders. - Managing
client expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle. - Escalating
risks and blockers early, with clear impact, options, recommendations and
next steps. - Supporting
client facing communications relating to project status, release
timelines, UAT readiness, go-live planning, risks and dependencies. - Ensuring
client commitments, decisions and open questions are accurately captured
and communicated internally.
Release, UAT and Go-Live Readiness
You will help ensure that client
implementations move through testing, release and go-live in a controlled and
structured way. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating
UAT readiness, including test scope, environment readiness, data
readiness, defect tracking and client sign-off. - Supporting
release readiness reviews, deployment planning, release communications and
post-release reviews. - Ensuring
release activity is aligned with client implementation plans, testing
cycles and go-live requirements. - Coordinating
go-live planning, including cutover activities, responsibilities, risks,
communications and post-go-live support transition. - Working
with Product and Engineering to convert requirements and implementation
needs into actionable delivery plans. - Supporting
agile ceremonies where relevant, including sprint planning, backlog
reviews, stand-ups, retrospectives and delivery reviews.
