Position: Telecommunications Construction Manager



Pay Rate: $75,000 - $95,000 per year, DOE



Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt

Job Description



Javelin Utility Services Inc. is searching for a strong leader to serve as our Telecommunications Construction Manager in Grants Pass, Oregon. The Telecommunications Construction Manager is responsible for supervision and management of field crews for assigned client projects, accountable for managing the overall field performance, including scope, cost, safety, quality, schedule, implementation, and customer satisfaction.



The Telecommunications Construction Manager will plan and oversee all telecommunications field activities including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment needs, and work schedule. It is their responsibility to make sure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in a way that is safe and follows federal, state, and local agency regulatory requirements. This includes coordinating meetings with appropriate personnel, conducting site visits, overseeing construction process, tracking project status, and completing all necessary paperwork and reporting.



Essential Functions:




  • Scheduling

  • Identify gaps and delays on jobs; take the necessary steps to keep jobs on track

  • Reports construction progress daily

  • Attends weekly conference calls and meetings

  • Review and interpret proposal drawings and specifications

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to job site

  • Lead and direct daily activities of Supervisors, Foremen Operators and Laborers

  • Supervise inspections of projects

  • Investigate complaints and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies

  • Help resolve contract disputes and arrange any necessary order changes

  • Work with contractors to complete project within the given budget and time frame

  • Assist with Estimating

  • Prepare and submit red lined construction drawings and documents upon job completion

  • May operate various equipment as needed (i.e., trencher, bore machine, backhoe, etc.)

  • Communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and public agencies
