EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

  • Education
    Currently enrolled in high school. 
    AGE REQUIREMENTS: 
    • Minimum 14 years of age. 
    • Individuals ages 14-15 are subject to additional restrictions in accordance with UT Southwestern policy and applicable state and federal labor laws. 
    • Individuals ages 16 and older are not subject to additional age-based work restrictions. 
     
  • Experience
    No prior experience. 
    If assigned to work in a research laboratory, additional documentation signed by a parent or legal guardian. 
     


JOB DUTIES

  • Will assist with medical imaging AI research. 
  • Tasks may include data preprocessing, model training and evaluation, performing literature reviews, and working under close supervision by Dr. Kuan Zhang. 
  • These responsibilities are strictly observational and supportive, allowing the intern to gain exposure in the field of AI research and radiology.
  • Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions.
  • Assists, receives training, and acquires working knowledge from various departments.
  • May assist staff with day to day operations.
  • May participate in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
