Qualifications

Education and Experience: Experience equivalent to one year of experience of food service work.

Necessary Special Qualifications:

Applicants for this class must within 90 days of their hire date obtain:

1. TIPS or ServSafe and Alcohol

2. ServSafe Food Safety

Overview

This position involves leading daily shifts in the restaurant and serving food and beverages to guests in both the lounge and dining areas.

Responsibilities

  1. Coach and train new or existing servers in restaurant service standards and catering events.
  2. Assist with stocking and setting up restaurant and catering tables before each shift or function.
  3. Ensure guest satisfaction by placing food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
  4. Assist with pre-shift meetings to discuss shift objectives and nightly food and drink specials.
  5. Suggest wine pairings to guests to complement their food selections.
  6. Be familiar with locally sourced beverage offerings and can distinguish the unique nature of each product to guests.
