Qualifications
Education and Experience: Experience equivalent to one year of experience of food service work.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
Applicants for this class must within 90 days of their hire date obtain:
1. TIPS or ServSafe and Alcohol
2. ServSafe Food Safety
Examination Method: Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions.
Overview
This position involves leading daily shifts in the restaurant and serving food and beverages to guests in both the lounge and dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Coach and train new or existing servers in restaurant service standards and catering events.
- Assist with stocking and setting up restaurant and catering tables before each shift or function.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by placing food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with pre-shift meetings to discuss shift objectives and nightly food and drink specials.
- Suggest wine pairings to guests to complement their food selections.
- Be familiar with locally sourced beverage offerings and can distinguish the unique nature of each product to guests.
