Duties

Greets customers as they enter the ITT office. Provide information to walk-in customers and callers on ticket, tour, and travel opportunities, Community Center programs and base-wide events. Assists customers in planning and coordinating recreational and leisure package trips to include reserving condominiums and hotels, car rentals, ski and summer packages, airline tickets, train reservations, cruises, overseas vacations, etc. Provides customers with all pertinent travel and lodging policies, restrictions, and itineraries. Responsible for ordering tickets. Perform inventories on a daily and monthly basis. Processes invoices, ensuring accuracy and forwards to NAF Accounting Office within 3 days of receipt. Responsible for P-Card charges and following proper processing procedures for ITT Community Center and base-wide events. Maintain office files for all recreational lodging and activities ensuring all information and price lists are current. Plans tours to different events, maintains daily operations, and publicizes upcoming events with supervision. Assists with Community Center programs and activities. Operates a computerized cash register, rings up sales, accepts payment and makes change, and/or charges the member's account. Clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents to the supervisor at the end of each shift; makes deposits. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment. Assists with daily and end-of-month documents/reports. Independently performs routine day-to-day operational duties to include operating computer system database and financial spreadsheets. Takes TDY's to locations utilized by the ITT offices. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, family days, and holidays. Performs other duties as assigned. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office duties, which includes ability to perform common arithmetic problems and to make change when receiving payments. Experience in coordinating travel arrangements, i.e. ski packages and condo, car, cruise, train and airline reservations is preferred. General travel knowledge to include processing reservations is preferred. Basic computer knowledge is required. Applicant must be able to read, write and speak in English. Must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with the public. Applicant must have experience handling multiple tasks concurrently and developed organizational skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 year. May occasionally lift objects weighing 10 pounds. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check w/Inquires (NACI)/Tier 1 background check with favorable results. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
