Our drivers play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring the timely delivery of steel plating and smaller steel materials to machine shops of all sizes. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company trucks and trailers for local and regional deliveries to customers and vendors.
  • Secure all loads properly using approved equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time arrivals and fuel optimization.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and inspection reports.
  • Provide professional, courteous service during pickups and deliveries, representing the company in a positive light.
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials while following safe lifting practices and using required PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to coordinate schedules and resolve issues.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies; report equipment or delivery concerns promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Class A Truck Driver.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, Geotab, etc).
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to adapt and handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
  • Valid Class A CDL license.
