Position summary: The Truck Driver is responsible for supporting the mission of our organization through the safe operation of Goodwill’s commercial trucks, light trucks, or passenger vans while transporting materials between the warehouse and the stores as well as passengers as required.
Essential functions:
- Transport various materials in packaged or bulk form to and from specified destinations such as industrial sites, residences, or store locations.
- Maintain vehicle interior and exterior through daily pre-operation safety checks and cleaning while keeping supervisor and leadership team informed of any needed maintenance.
- Follow safety regulations prescribed by the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration including speed limits, lockout-tagout procedures, and completing required documentation.
- Prepare receipt as required for material picked-up or items delivered after establishing items meet Goodwill Retail guidelines.
- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner while loading and unloading the trucks or moving materials within a location.
- Maintain the dock area and assist the warehouse team in ensuring work area is kept in a neat and orderly space.
- Maintain professional and courteous demeanor while operating on Goodwill’s behalf.
- Attend safety trainings and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees at all times.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and required skills:
- Valid Driver License with good driving record and proof of current automobile insurance required every six months.
- Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack as well as a lift gate on the vehicles.
- Must be able to work Monday – Saturday including some holidays throughout the year as required.
Education and experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial driving or trucking transportation.
