Job Description
Overview:
Haul scrap from Port to Scrap Lines for off-loading to Scrap Piles. Haul scrap from Scrap Lines for off-loading to
Scrap Bays


Responsibilities:
  • Inspects assigned truck for damage or problems at the beginning of the shift.
  • Measures to get a tare weight at beginning of the shift.
  • Drives 60 ton trucks from the Port to Scrap Lines.
  • Accurately records weight from payload meter for scrap hauled to lines.
  • Drives 60 ton trucks from Port to Scrap Line.
  • Drives trucks over scales and record accurate load weights for scrap hauled to the Scrap Line.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds - (High Physical Demand Level per DOL)
  • Must meet and maintain certification for use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA 1910.134
  • Demonstrated aptitude to execute customer orders and maintain
  • Requires work in all types of weather conditions
  • Requires working on and around barges and water
  • Must be available to work all shifts and weekends including 12 hours shifts
