Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Financial Advisory Group

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Financial Advisory Group Operations Manager

SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility

SUMMARY: Assists in assuring compliance with all department policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains current understanding of regulations as they relate to fiduciary and compliance issues and educates the department regarding the same.
  • Performs administrative reviews of accounts.
  • Ensures accuracy of IRA disbursements, including required minimum distributions.
  • Assists examiners and auditors and follows-up with recommendations.
  • Reconciles general ledger and internal operating accounts.
  • Analyzes and interprets a wide variety of transactions and identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Recommends procedural and policy changes and assists with revising procedures and policies.
  • Research special items and completes special projects as needed.
  • Handles and answers customer inquiries in accordance with Brand Standards.
  • Back-up operations duties as needed.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assists in oversight of Financial Advisory Group operations staff to help ensure accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or 4 years of financial/accounting related work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, as well as analytical, verbal, mathematical and written communication skills
  • Fluency in computer applications such as accounting software and Microsoft Office Programs
