Work Schedule

Open Positions & Shifts: 

  • Full Time: 12:00pm - 8:30 (every other weekend off)
  • Part Time: 3pm - 8:30 (every other weekend off)

Applicants must be available to work the days and hours listed above. Flexibility may be required based on departmental needs.

 

Job Overview:

As Utility, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. You will also assist with basic kitchen tasks, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and support the culinary team in providing quality meals for our residents. In this role, you must be a team player with a strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness. This position is essential to ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities:

·         Prepare, wash and store dishes, pots and pans, kitchen equipment following Company and Health Department standards and procedures.

·         Perform kitchen cleaning duties including but not limited to dish washing are, floors, walls, equipment, storage areas, prep areas, outside receiving and dumpster areas.

·         Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

·         Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.

·         Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).

·         Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.

·         Adheres to prescribed sanitation practices and procedures.

·         Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the community.

·         Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

·         Must understand and follow therapeutic diet orders for residents when serving food.

·         Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

·         Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.

·         Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.

·         Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.

·         Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.

·         Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

·         Must pass a criminal background check.

·         Must be able to meet all health requirements.

·         Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities, with or without accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:

·         Schedule hours; possible overtime. May work in other positions temporarily when necessary.

·         Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post disaster, etc.).

·         Is subject toto injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, and other air contaminants.

·         May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

·         Including but not limited to sitting/standing in place for short/long periods at a time, repetitive use of hands, fingers, wrists, arms, frequent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling/lifting 25+lbs. High people interaction, bright and low lighting, loud noises, fluctuating temperatures, exposure to odors communicable illness/disease and other related infectious contagions found in a healthcare/residential setting.
