UTILITIES FIELD SUPPORT

Perform a variety of skilled duties and responsibilities involved in the maintenance, repair, service and installation of commercial and residential water and sewer utility connections. Act as a field-based representative for the public related to water meters, sewer connections, and Utilities Division activities.

Must be independently motivated, have regular attendance, be able to work with minimum supervision, have the ability to work under varying climate conditions, customer service experience and some knowledge of street locations within the City of Waynesboro. High School Diploma with at least 3 years related experience required. Must be able to read and accurately record numbers in hand-held computer. Requires a valid operator’s license. Experience with the operation, maintenance and repair of meter reading equipment, plumbing or other related equipment desired. Experience with field customer service desired.

Starting salary is $18.48 - $19.40/hr.
