The beach is calling! Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital is a high volume, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited multi-doctor, small animal practice that seeks to hire a self-motivated, dependable, energetic, positive team player that is passionate about veterinary care and delivering excellent client service.

Work Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Managing multiple clients and communicating between clients and technical staff to create a high quality of care
  • Greeting clients and checking in patients
  • Answering phones (multiple lines)
  • Document and maintain client and patient information
  • Creating a warm, inviting and welcoming environment for our clients and patients
  • Checking out patients: financial transactions, scheduling appointments, reviewing medication directions, etc.
  • Performing opening and closing tasks (printing end-of day reports/daily reconciliation).
  • Scanning documents to attach to charts in our computer software program
  • Additional tasks that help create a high quality clinic for our clients and patients.
  • Taking messages for doctors, relaying messages from doctors
  • Handling incoming and outgoing e-mail.
  • Ensuring cleanliness in the lobby and reception area throughout the day
  • Care for boarding pets by feeding, walking, administering medications as instructed, monitoring their well-being, and maintaining clean, comfortable accommodations.

Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months veterinary experience is required. Candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to critically think, multi-task and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. The desire to continually advance your knowledge and skills is essential in order to achieve the optimal standard of patient care provided at Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital.

Compensation: Competitive salary will be commensurate with experience.
