    Position:                      Warehouse Assistant

    Location:                     Uinta County School District #1, Evanston, Wyoming

    Salary:                         S-2; 3-2; $17.70 per hour

    Hours:                         8 hours per day; 5 days a week; 12 months

    Primary Job Function:

    The Uinta County School District #1 Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with the daily activities of the warehouse to ensure safe and efficient storage, delivery, and retrieval of district supplies. 

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in warehouse operations preferred

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary functions may include the following duties, responsibilities, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of tasks performed by all positions within this classification.

     

    Delivery

    • Responsible for the delivery of all packages/freight from UPS and Fed-Ex to respective schools, departments and transportation facility
    • Responsible for sorting and delivering all district inter-office mail as well as US Postal service mail to respective schools, departments and transportation facility
    • Responsible for delivering all outgoing mail to the Evanston Post Office

     

    Retrieval

    • Responsible for the retrieval of daily incoming mail from the Evanston Post Office
    • Responsible for retrieving all outgoing mail, interoffice mail and packages from all schools, departments and transportation facility
    • Responsible for retrieving all Central Office supply requisitions from Alio and seeing they are properly delivered

    Shipping

    • Responsible for the District's shipping including all necessary paperwork which includes but not limited to:
      • UPS
      • Federal Express
      • Truck freight lines

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Maintain District's postage and UPS accounts
    • Restocking inventory as needed
    • Janitorial duties at the warehouse
    • Snow removal throughout the district
    • Supporting groundskeeping as needed
    • Supporting Maintenance operations as needed

    Physical Demands & Working Conditions: 

    • Physical Demands � While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others. The employee is required to sit or stand and move around for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push, pull, lift and carry over 75 pounds on occasion.
    • Working Conditions � The employee in this position may experience occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.  The employee may also be required to interact with unruly children.
    • Driving Requirement � This position may require driving.
