Position Summary
Ideal Fulfillment is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Inventory & Inbound Order Processing Specialist to join our warehouse operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and the timely processing of inbound shipments.
You’ll be responsible for receiving inventory into our warehouse management system (WMS), verifying shipment accuracy, creating pallet labels, assisting with inventory control activities, and helping ensure inbound freight is processed quickly and accurately. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to self-manage your workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive inbound shipments into the warehouse management system (WMS).
· Verify inbound shipments against packing slips and shipping documentation.
· Report shortages, overages, damages, or other discrepancies to management.
· Generate and apply pallet identification (PL-ID) labels.
· Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure inventory is put away accurately and efficiently.
· Monitor inbound orders to help achieve company dock-to-stock turnaround goals.
· Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory.
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Update inventory records and make approved inventory adjustments when necessary.
· Ensure products are properly labeled and stored according to company procedures.
· Assist in organizing receiving areas to maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and other warehouse personnel regarding inbound priorities.
· Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
· Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Mid-level computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management software (will be trained on-the-job on WMS).
· Ability to perform basic math and data entry.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality – must have reliable transport to work daily.
· Previous Order Picker Machine experience or willingness to become certified (training provided). This is required to inspect many of our storage locations for inventory accuracy
· Comfortable working at heights. Again, due to needing to work at elevated height to inspect storage locations.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous warehouse, inventory, or receiving experience.
· Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Experience with barcode scanners or handheld warehouse devices.
Physical Requirements
· Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
· Bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
· Work safely around forklifts and warehouse equipment.
