This hands-on role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting a safe, organized warehouse environment. Planes Companies is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in our Dayton, OH facility. This hands-on role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting a safe, organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and support timely replenishment
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately to meet customer and shipping requirements
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes as assigned
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement
- Assist with packaging and quality control following established procedures
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment that complies with OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience with inventory systems such as AS400 is a plus
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks
- Strong knowledge of material handling techniques and warehouse safety practices
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and dependable work ethic
