Job Description

Job Summary



The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing both outbound shipments and inbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across all logistics activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience using platforms such as Freightview to coordinate freight, prepare shipping documents, and track shipments.



Key Responsibilities



Shipping (Outbound)




  • Prepare, process, and coordinate outbound shipments for domestic and/or international deliveries

  • Use Freightview to:

    • Compare carrier rates

    • Select cost-effective shipping options

    • Schedule freight pickups

    • Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation

    • Track shipments and resolve delivery issues



  • Verify shipment contents against packing lists, work orders, or customer orders

  • Ensure all shipments are accurately labeled, packaged, and meet company and carrier requirements

  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to meet shipping deadlines

  • Communicate with carriers, brokers, and customers regarding shipment status

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve shipping efficiency



 



Receiving (Inbound)




  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage

  • Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips

  • Coordinate with carriers for delivery scheduling and dock assignments

  • Unload shipments as needed (forklift or pallet jack use may be required)

  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages and coordinate resolutions with vendors

  • Properly label, store, and distribute incoming materials to appropriate departments

  • Maintain organized receiving and staging areas



 



Qualifications




  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse coordination

  • Experience with Freightview or similar TMS strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of LTL, FTL, parcel shipping, and receiving processes

  • Familiarity with shipping/receiving documentation (BOLs, packing slips, POs)

  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment



 



Physical Requirements




  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and material handling

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
