WORK DAYS: 224 days (10 months, 3 days), Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
SALARY: Range 20, salary placement from $21.68 to $27.70 hourly rate
Salary prorated based on start date and prior experience.

TITLE: WAREHOUSE DELIVERY PERSON
SALARY RANGE: 20
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, to receive, store and issue school, custodial and food service supplies. To deliver and return custodial laundry to all school sites. To maintain a computerized inventory system. To perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
a. Required:
1. Graduation from high school or equivalent.
2. Possession of valid California driver license and qualify for insurability by the district's authorized insurance carrier.
3. Knowledge of warehouse procedures including receiving and inspecting materials, supplies and equipment; business practices relating to purchase and shipment of goods; inventory procedures and forms.
4. Ability to maintain accurate and current records; operate a forklift; establish and maintain effective warehousing and delivery systems; drive heavily loaded trucks safely.
b. Desirable:
1. Two years warehouse experience.
2. Knowledge of computer operation of inventory and warehouse systems.
3. Ability to operate a keyboard and use office machines such as a calculator and computer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Pick, palletize and deliver food and equipment to District kitchens.
2. Receive, store and issue supplies.
3. Organize, maintain and control computerized warehouse inventory system.
4. Deliver instructional materials, equipment and textbooks.
5. Produce, organize and maintain separate delivery systems for food service, District IMC and equipment, District mail and County mail and equipment.
6. Advise food service and purchasing departments regarding quantity limitations on projected orders.
7. Separate, count and record textbooks for delivery and storage for IMC.
8. Catalog and tag, using LMUSD property tags, equipment received.
9. Determine necessity for, and replenish, print shop stock from warehouse inventory.
10. Establish reorder points for warehouse inventory and notify purchasing when supplies are needed to fulfill District schools and individual department orders.
11. Issue, pick up and deliver custodial supplies.
12. May organize and deliver District and County mail, films, and equipment to individual school sites.
13. Perform other duties as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis when loading or unloading, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
2. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
3. Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
4. Ability to ascend and descend steps.
5. Ability to communicate so others will clearly understand normal conversation
6. Ability to bend, twist, kneel and stoop.
7. Ability to reach in all directions.
