The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in supporting smooth and efficient warehouse operations in our equipment facilities, which store the parts, tools, and supplies required for repairing Okie Express Auto Wash / Spotless Brands equipment. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for organizing daily activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and assisting with warehouse process improvements. Although this role does not include direct supervision of staff, the Warehouse Lead may provide training and function as a resource for new team members and peers.
Essential Functions
- Support daily warehouse operations in coordination with the Warehouse Manager
- Organize warehouse activities and workflows to maintain operational efficiency
- Assist with receiving, storing, and shipping products to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct inventory management activities, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and replenishment
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and in accordance with company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to support operational goals and meet deadlines
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory or shipment discrepancies
- Train new team members in standard operating procedures, safety practices, and equipment usage
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or overages
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Follow all safety standards, regulations, and best practices in warehouse operations
- Operate large trucks with trailers to support warehouse delivery emergencies or backup deliveries when primary warehouse delivery drivers are unavailable
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and the needs of the business
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift certification required
- Experience using inventory management software and standard business applications
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work environment and compliance with applicable safety and labor regulations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate large trucks and trailers required
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Knowledge
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and safety protocols
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching through the majority of the shift
- Ability to work in warehouse conditions, which may include varying temperatures, noise levels, and limited climate control
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to climb in and out of large trucks and handle delivery materials as needed
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours such as evenings, weekend, or overtime as needed
