Job Description

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations at the Weatherford West Hardy Road facility. This role ensures efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. The supervisor leads warehouse personnel, coordinates workflows, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.

- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to meet operational demands and deadlines.

- Maintain compliance with Weatherford operational procedures and standards.

 

Safety & Compliance

- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture in line with company HSE policies.

- Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations at all times.

 

Inventory & Quality Control

- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic audits.

- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials.

 

Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, train, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve performance and productivity goals.

- Schedule staff and manage attendance, overtime, and performance evaluations.

- Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.

 

Systems & Reporting

- Utilize ERP/WMS systems to manage inventory transactions and reporting.

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, and productivity.

- Prepare regular reports for management on warehouse performance.

 

Continuous Improvement

- Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements using lean principles.

- Support cost reduction initiatives and operational efficiency projects.

- Participate in cross-functional coordination with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- 3–5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

 

Skills & Competencies

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.

- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working around equipment for extended periods.

 

Work Environment

- Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
