POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping, inventory, and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, maintaining inventory integrity through cycle counting, coordinating inbound and outbound product movements, and supporting system transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

The ideal candidate will have strong inventory control experience, a solid understanding of warehouse processes, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure efficient product flow and inventory

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control & Cycle Counting
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity across warehouse locations.
  • Lead and coordinate cycle count activities, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile variances in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support inventory audits and provide reporting as needed.

D365 Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Execute and monitor inventory transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Ensure accurate system processing of receipts, transfers, shipments, and inventory adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot inventory and transaction issues within D365 and work cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with process improvements and standardization of D365 inventory and shipping procedures.

Inbound Receiving & Unloading

  • Supervise inbound product receiving and unloading activities.
  • Verify receipt accuracy and ensure products are received, inspected, and stored properly.
  • Coordinate dock scheduling and warehouse resources to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures during receiving operations.

3PL Inventory Management & Transfers

  • Manage inventory held at third-party logistics (3PL) facilities.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between company locations and 3PL warehouses.
  • Reconcile inventory balances between internal systems and 3PL records.
  • Work closely with logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate inventory movements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning activities.

Leadership & Operational Support

  • Provide daily direction and support to shipping and warehouse personnel.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Train employees on inventory control procedures, warehouse processes, and system transactions.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, or inventory management experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Knowledge of warehouse best practices, inventory management principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
