2ND SHIFT 2:30PM-11PM



JOB SUMMARY: 

Responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG, and/or TIG. The ideal candidate will be able to follow safety protocols, and produce strong, clean welds that meet specifications. This role plays a critical part in the manufacturing process of the organization.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.

  • Operate welding equipment (MIG primarily, TIG experience a plus)

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Observe and inspect parts to ensure quality specifications are met

  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

  • Complies with all PPE requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed shoes

  • Assists in other production areas as needed or related activities as assigned by supervisor

  • Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees

  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred

  • Proven experience as a welder (minimum 1-3 years)

  • Proficiency with welding tools and techniques

  • Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards

  • Well organized and self-directed

  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion
