Job Description

Supreme Manufacturing LLC specializes in manufacturing clamshell dredges, conveyors, rock barges, and more. Our commitment to innovation and excellence has established us as a leader in the industry. We are looking for talented and dedicated professionals to join our shop as a Welder/Fabricator.
We have both first and second shifts available.
First Shift: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm.
Second shift: Mon – Thu 3pm – 1:30am.

Job Summary:

  • Learn and apply various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core.
  • Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Understand and follow welding symbols and instructions.
  • Assist in setting up welding equipment and materials.
  • Perform basic welding tasks under the guidance of a journeyman welder.
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Inspect welds for defects and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in assembling and disassembling metal structures.
  • Transport materials and equipment as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Must document time spent welding on specific jobs by entering time using the correct job code and cost code.
  • Manages production time in an efficient and economical manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a welding training program is preferred.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May have no experience plus an associate's degree, additional training, or certification(s).
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques and tools.
  • Complete and pass a 3G limited weld test.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be capable and competent operating forklift trucks and overhead cranes.
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid and MSHA training certifications.
