MIG Welder/Fabricator

Tri-Arc is seeking steel MIG welders for 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - additional $0.60 per hour) for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate of $24.33(1st shift) and $24.93 (2nd Shift). Tri-Arc also offers a generous benefit package, and the right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. All candidates are required to take and pass a welding test and bring their own welding gear. Job Responsibilities


  • Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
  • Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together (usually in fixtures).
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Operates various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment.
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
