Job Description
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Welder to work at our Levy NYS location in Blytheville, AR. The Slag Pot Welder performs all welding functions for the purpose of repairing and maintain slag pots, buckets, ground engaging edges, and other equipment.  
Pay: $29-$36
Shift/Schedule: 6am-6pm 5 days per week.

Responsibilities
The  Welder will:
  • Inspect slag pots to determine necessary repairs
  • Examine and document damage prior to starting repair (i.e. written and photographed)
  • Operate and maintain all welding machinery and torch cutting equipment
  • Make recommendation as to the method of repair
  • Weld cracks/washes according to welding procedures
  • Maintain documents relating to labor and materials used
  • Requisition necessary welding rods and gasses required for repair
  • Repair bucket damage, replace cutting edge on equipment, and repair minor cracks in equipment
  • Meet customer service expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

 
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate tools (grinding, discs, hand tools)
  • Ability to work outside and tolerate noise and temperature variations
  • Knowledge of welding materials
  • Ability to weld, cut and fabricate
  • Basic mechanical skill and ability to use hands to manipulate tools
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
