About the Role:
As a Welder in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling metal components that meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and durability of products used across various applications, contributing directly to the company's production goals. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, transforming raw materials into finished goods through various welding techniques. Safety and precision are paramount, as you will operate welding equipment and overhead cranes in a controlled environment to maintain a safe workplace. Ultimately, your craftsmanship and attention to detail will support the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality manufactured products to clients nationwide.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in arc, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
- Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
- Experience working with stainless steel and brazing techniques.
- Knowledge of welding inspection and quality control procedures.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform arc welding, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine the appropriate welding process and sequence.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment to position heavy metal components safely and accurately.
- Conduct metal fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using various tools and techniques.
- Inspect welded joints for quality and compliance with industry standards, performing brazing and other finishing processes as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot welding issues and improve production efficiency.
