Description
The Wellness Center Manager oversees the daily operations of the Wellness Center. They are ensuring there are high-quality programs and services available to all members. This role manages staff, coordinates wellness initiatives, maintains compliance with health and safety standards, develops business strategies, and promotes a positive environment that supports clients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The Wellness Center Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and ongoing performance evaluations for the wellness team to ensure competencies are met and maintained. They promote wellness programs through marketing campaigns and events. Assess client needs and recommend new programs or improvements. Recruit fitness instructors and provide orientation and coordinate programming schedules. Perform other related duties as required and or assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Physical Education, Recreation, or a closely related degree plus two years of professional experience are required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- CPR and or Lifeguard certifications. As well as 2 years experience in student development and event or program planning.
- Proven ability in program management for all aspects of development, design, education, and implementation of an inclusive Fitness & Wellness and Strength & Conditioning Program
- Experience in Strength & Conditioning, group fitness and wellness programming
- Demonstrated ability to direct, work, and lead team sessions
- Ability to interact with a large number of diverse individuals and organizations
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
