Key Responsibilities of a Wellness Director:
- Lead and supervise the wellness team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
- Oversee resident assessments, individualized care plans, and medication management
- Collaborate effectively with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal resident health and wellness
- Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to wellness staff to maintain compliance and clinical excellence
- Monitor regulatory compliance and participate in licensing and state survey processes
Qualifications for a Wellness Director:
- Active LVN license in the state of California
- RCFE experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a senior living or long-term care facility
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Genuine passion for working with the geriatric population
- Knowledge of current health and wellness practices and trends in senior care
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
