Key Responsibilities of a Wellness Director: 

  • Lead and supervise the wellness team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
  • Oversee resident assessments, individualized care plans, and medication management
  • Collaborate effectively with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal resident health and wellness
  • Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to wellness staff to maintain compliance and clinical excellence
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and participate in licensing and state survey processes

Qualifications for a Wellness Director:

  • Active LVN license in the state of California
  • RCFE experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a senior living or long-term care facility
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Genuine passion for working with the geriatric population
  • Knowledge of current health and wellness practices and trends in senior care
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
