Description

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing advertising relationships within an assigned territory for the Williams-Grand Canyon News. This role focuses on generating revenue through prospecting, client relationship management, ad sales, and customer service while ensuring advertising deadlines and client expectations are met. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, community-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment with regular local travel. 

Requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing advertising clients through regular sales outreach and account management 
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and community engagement 
  • Coordinate, process, and proof advertising content to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction across print and online platforms 
  • Prepare advertising agreements, calculate pricing, process payments, and complete required sales documentation accurately 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs while communicating insights and opportunities to management 
  • Participate in sales meetings, support cross-functional teamwork, and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in sales, advertising, customer service, or account management preferred 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and administrative tasks effectively 
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and standard office equipment 
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory
