Part-time Wine Bar Associate

We are on a search for our next team member who wants to contribute and grow with our dynamic team. We are looking for talented hospitality professionals who are looking for more than just the next gig. We want someone who wants to contribute in unique and fun ways alongside providing an amazing customer experience at our wine bar. 

In this role, you are more than a server but truly an integral part of the team, working across bar and kitchen staff and operational staff Tuesday thru Saturday, 20-25 hours a week, primarily after 2pm but may differ from time to time. 

The primary duties of this role is bar service (~85%) which includes:

•  Interacting with customers to execute orders and provide storytelling of the WeRise mission and the winemakers we work with
• Shared closing responsibilities with Assistant Manager
• Working private events (on or offsite). 

Content creation will be a small portion of this role (~10%)

• We want someone with an eye toward creativity to assist with real time content creation for our social media platforms.

Other duties may also include (~5%):

•  Assisting with packing wine club
• Wine deliveries
• Team meetings
• Other projects as mutually agreed upon

Requirements

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Possess strong knowledge of wine to provide excellent recommendations
• Provide storytelling about wines, winemakers, and the WeRise mission
• Efficiently serve food and beverages, ensuring timely delivery
• Process payments accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Set up and break down event spaces as needed
• Provide exceptional service to guests during events, including wine and food service
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even under pressure
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless execution

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a server in a restaurant or bar setting.
• Strong knowledge of wine, including basic wine tasting and pairing techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong storytelling skills to appropriately represent the brand and mission
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid MAST permit
• Valid food workers permit
• TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Passion for wine and a desire to share that passion with others.
• Age 21+
• Must have a vehicle for off-site bar related tasks as needed.
