* Provides culturally competent customer service while greeting and speaking to public health clients in accordance with the WIC program and agency policies and procedures. Answers telephones and schedules appointments as necessary. Processes information, completes certifications and enters all client information into SC-WIC system as mandated. Ensures that staff complies with program and agency guidelines for issuance of e-WIC cards in SC-WIC system and Farmer's Market benefits, if applicable.
* Follow established guidelines around customer service and cultural competency, ensuring staff adheres to WIC Program customer complaint procedures as outlined or directed by the area and state plan.
* Attends relevant program and agency training and meetings. Ensure necessary materials and resources are available for Administrative staff. Prepares and submits required reports.
* Completes other duties as assigned related to the position.
Position Duties
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Agency Additional Requirements: A bachelor's degree in a related field and two years responsible administrative support supervisory experience; or associate degree in related field and three years experience, or HS/GED and four years of responsible administrative experience. Agency experience and proven ability may be substituted for supervisory experience.Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the SCDPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.
