Position Summary: The Cloud Software Architect is a key leadership role, responsible for developing new and creative innovative approaches, which will serve as the basis for the company’s next generation solutions as well as revamp our legacy offering. The Cloud Software Architect will be a close collaborator and trusted advisor to the development team (both in-house and third party) and ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions. The role is tasked with working with the team in solving technical issues on performance, scalability, security, and enterprise systems including technical leadership for the full product life cycle i.e., requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment.
 
Key Roles / Responsibilities:

<li>Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk.</li>
<li>Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks.</li>
<li>Develop a cohesive team and ensure their continued success.</li>
<li>Conduct product work reviews with team members.</li>
</ul>
Primary Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems.</li>
<li>Analyze the design, implementation and testing of cloud based and on-prem software solutions.</li>
<li>Select the right technology and architecture for scalable, high availability, and reliable platform development.</li>
<li>Provide architectural and technical guidance to a distributed development team, i.e., in-house and third-party.</li>
<li>Work closely with the executive team to define product direction and design.</li>
<li>Optimize infrastructure for cost and efficiency.</li>
<li>Lead the design, development, integration, and debugging of systems and applications.</li>
<li>Perform requirements analysis, system/software design and analysis, development/software metric creation and analysis, system risk analysis, integration, and test metrics.</li>
<li>Translate product requirements into engineering specifications.</li>
<li>Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.</li>
</ul>

Skills and Proficiencies 
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems.</li>
<li>Sound understanding and firsthand experience architecting edge and IoT solutions.</li>
<li>Expertise in software architecture design, distributed systems, microservice architectures, and data distribution strategies.</li>
<li>Knowledge of data stores and both SQL and NOSQL databases (including performance tuning), such as SQL Server, Azure Cosmos, MySQL, Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).</li>
<li>Knowledge of modern Agile / DevOps tool chains and processes, including CI/CD, tracking of project metrics, unifying development and operations, etc.</li>
<li>Understanding of client / server and distributed system / cloud architecture patterns</li>
<li>Have experience with REST API(s).</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud storage, such as Azure Storage or equivalent.</li>
<li>Deep understanding in the areas of Applications and Infrastructure in Cloud Compute workloads in Azure.</li>

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field; Advanced degree is preferred.</li>
<li>Ten (10) years of experience in hands-on development, application design in the delivery of software products.</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years in an architect role in previous large-scale software development projects, preferably SaaS delivery model.</li>
<li>Extensive experience with developing and delivering commercial enterprise software.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years’ experience in architecting and designing container frameworks used to run microservices or data processing workloads.</li>
<li>Experience with front end technologies, such as Angular and React in a development environment.</li>
<li>Firsthand development experience of Java stack, Knowledge of Spring</li>
<li>Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments</li>
<li>Experience in developing software systems, which employ data mining, machine learning, or statistical techniques, methods, and algorithms.</li>
<li>Experience with Progressive Web Applications.</li>
<li>Experience deploying cloud solutions into hybrid environments, including architecting services for simultaneous cloud and on-prem deployment.</li>
<li>Coordination of geographically distributed teams.</li>

Off Duty Management is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team responsible for building and maintaining our OfficerTRAK® web and mobile application serving internal and external clients. This role sits at the intersection of technology leadership and client-facing product delivery — driving high-quality software releases, guiding architectural decisions, and cultivating a collaborative, high-performing development team.
 
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on software development experience, a proven track record managing engineering teams, and a thorough understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with cloud platforms and Agile methodologies, as well as experience working in an onshore-offshore model, will differentiate candidates in this search.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Team Leadership & Development
<ul>
<li>Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and developers in an onshore-offshore model, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li>

Education

Experience

<li>Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing teams, building and supporting external client-facing web and mobile applications across multiple states in the US.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead full-cycle software delivery from requirements through production deployment.</li>
<li>Experience working directly with external clients or customers in a technology delivery capacity.</li>
