Youtopia, a Colorado-based startup, has an opening for a Principal Engineer. This role is hybrid or full time office preferred. Candidates must reside in the greater Denver Metro area. 
The strongest fits for this role will have exposure to some or all of these technologies and skills:

 <li>Proficiency in C# / .NET Core, Ionic, Angular, and TypeScript</li>

 <li>Architect, develop, and maintain robust engineering solutions for B2B/B2C web and mobile applications, leveraging a strong mathematical foundation.</li>
 <li>Write, review, and maintain high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on algorithmic efficiency; actively participate in peer code reviews.</li>
 <li>Collaborate in daily stand-ups, providing clear updates, transparent feedback, and leadership on technical challenges and blockers.</li>
 <li>Drive technical grooming sessions, clarifying requirements, assessing algorithmic feasibility, and collaborating with Project Managers and cross-functional teams.</li>
 <li>Design and optimize data models and algorithms to support personalized nutrition matching and diagnostic-driven recommendations.</li>
 <li>Lead architecture discussions, defining technical roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and product goals.</li>
 <li>Develop and implement machine learning or AI-driven algorithms to enhance platform functionality, such as nutrient analysis and meal personalization.</li>
 <li>Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing strategic insights to improve the software development process.</li>
 <li>Engage with clients and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into mathematically sound technical solutions.</li>
 <li>Create technical specifications, justify algorithmic decisions, and balance trade-offs in relation to project constraints (time, scope, budget).</li>

The software engineer intern will be responsible for researching and documenting architecture, developing code and submitting pull requests, and testing and validating the solution. The software engineer intern will attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews where they will get the opportunity to demonstrate to leadership what they have built.While this position is just for the summer, interns who demonstrate they are a good fit for the Sherpa 6 culture will be invited to stay on the project in a part time capacity while they continue their studies.
