This role contributes across the full software development lifecycle, delivering new capabilities in Guidewire ClaimCenter v10.x and adjacent services, integrating with enterprise platforms, and ensuring solutions meet architecture and cybersecurity standards. You'll tackle diverse initiatives, from targeted enhancements to large-scale, high-visibility modernization projects.<ul><li>Deliver features end-to-end: design, develop, test, deploy, and support software in an Agile product team.</li><li>Build and enhance solutions in Guidewire ClaimCenter v10.x (configuration and extensions) and related services.</li><li>Develop backend services and integrations using Java / Spring Boot, APIs, and event/integration patterns.</li><li>Create and maintain APIs and integrations using Apigee and enterprise integration standards.</li><li>Implement secure authentication/authorization patterns leveraging Ping Identity.</li><li>Design, optimize, and query data models; troubleshoot performance issues in SQL Server and application data flows.</li><li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, automation, quality gates); use developer productivity tooling such as Copilot where appropriate.</li><li>Operate and support production systems: debugging, incident support, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.</li><li>Improve observability and operational readiness using Datadog and Splunk (metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, alerting).</li><li>Participate in technical discovery/ideation, estimate work, write user stories/tasks, and contribute to documentation (runbooks, deployment guides, support docs).</li></ul>What we’re looking for <ul><li>Owns medium-to-large features end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing strategy, and production readiness.</li><li>Leads troubleshooting and performance tuning (application and database).</li><li>Drives API/integration work (Apigee patterns, identity/security considerations).</li><li>Improves engineering practices (CI/CD, test automation, code quality) and mentors others.</li><li>Ensures established standards for observability, deployment, resiliency, and developer productivity across teams.</li><li>Partners with product, architecture, and security stakeholders; makes and communicates trade-offs clearly.</li><li>Mentors team members and ensures High-Performing Engineering standards are chosen and monitored with the team</li><li>Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and design.</li><li>Experience integrating systems via APIs and working with enterprise standards (security, logging, monitoring).</li><li>Ability to work in Agile teams using modern delivery practices (iteration, experimentation, continuous improvement).</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration; able to document and explain technical decisions.</li><li>Experience and openness to utilizing AI Software Development Tools (GitHub Actions Copilot etc.)</li></ul> Why this role mattersYou’ll help deliver resilient, secure claims technology, improving customer and adjuster experiences and enabling faster, safer delivery through modern cloud and DevOps practices.</div>
