Overview <h1>ABOUT US:</h1>Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.<h1> </h1><h1>POSITION SUMMARY:</h1><h1>Bayview Asset Management is seeking a Full Stack Developer (.Net/Python) to join the technology team. This role will focus on building robust, high quality, scalable applications that will enhance Bayview’s trading and research functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, full stack developer with financial and valuation experience. This role will interact with the users and other IT teams to analyze, design, implement, deliver and support the applications. </h1> <h1>RESPONSIBILITIES:</h1><ul><li>Design and Development: Architect, design, and develop front office applications using modern software frameworks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability </li><li>Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and continuous integration. </li><li>Code Hygiene: Documents design; vulnerability remediations, Issue tracking, code reviews and other process improvement activities. </li><li>Workflow Optimization: Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions that streamline and optimize business processes. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business users, product managers, and other developers, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. </li><li>Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment. </li><li>Learning and Adaptation: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies. </li><li>Business Acumen: Develop a strong understanding of the business and financial markets to ensure that the applications meet the specific needs of the organization. </li><li>Ability to adapt and overcome problems; must be able to multitask and prioritize independently.</li></ul><h1>SKILLS:</h1><ul><li>Programming Skills: Strong command of object-oriented compiled languages (e.g. C#) and data analysis scripting languages (e.g., Python).</li><li>Technical Expertise: Proficient in modern software frameworks and technologies, with experience in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Design Patterns, CI/CD, SQL/noSQL Databases</li><li>.Net Framework (4.5-4.8) / .NET (3.1 – 8) technology stack</li><li>Web frameworks: Angular 8-16+/ React / Vue 2-3 / or equivalent</li><li>HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, JSON, Ajax, JQueryREST Web services</li><li>Dockers/Kubernetes</li><li>Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.</li><li>Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Experience: Proven experience in building scalable and high-performance applications, preferably within the financial services industry.</li><li>Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with financial markets, trading systems, and front office operations.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.</li></ul><h1>QUALIFICATIONS:</h1><ul><li style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;">BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of industry experience</li></ul> LOCATION and COMPENSATION: <ul><li style="color: #333333;">This role will be based in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. </li><li style="color: #333333;">This role will be mostly work from home, with occassional office work per month (1 - 2 days a month). </li><li style="color: #333333;">Compensation offered for this role will be between $130,000 - $160,000, this will be dependent on experience level and a performance based bonus structure is also available.</li></ul>*Salary may vary based on work experience, market conditions, location, and qualifications/training. <h1>EEOC:</h1>Bayview is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
