Architecture</h2><ul><li><h2>Lead the analysis of complex user requirements to define business objectives and architect robust technical solutions.</h2></li><li><h2>Drive architectural and design discussions, making key technical decisions to ensure robust and scalable solutions.</h2></li><li><h2>Create and own detailed technical specifications and software architecture documents.</h2></li><li><h2>Identify, evaluate, and champion the adoption of new technologies and frameworks to enhance the application stack.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Unit Testing &amp; Code Quality</h2><ul><li><h2>Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code quality and reliability.</h2></li><li><h2>Do peer code reviews, enforcing high standards of code quality and providing constructive feedback to the team.</h2></li><li><h2>Drive continuous improvement by investigating and implementing cutting-edge technologies and presenting them for architectural review.</h2></li></ul><h2>Maintenance &amp; Support</h2><ul><li><h2>Ownership and accountability of the code that is delivered including problem solving during any production issues.</h2></li><li><h2>Provide expert-level technical support for applications in production, leading the resolution of critical issues in a timely manner.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Collaboration &amp; Documentation</h2><ul><li><h2>Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other senior developers, to deliver high-quality software.</h2></li><li><h2>Establish and enforce standards for documenting software functionality, processes, and technical specifications.</h2></li><li><h2>Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status and technical challenges.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><u>Required Qualifications:</u></h2><ul><li><h2><b>5&#43; years</b> of professional Java Development experience, with significant time spent in a cloud environment.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Expert-level proficiency</b> in Java, API design, and Cloud engineering principles.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Extensive, hands-on experience</b> architecting and building RESTful APIs using popular frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Deep experience</b> with Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Proven experience</b> with Cloud-native technologies, including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and messaging systems like MQ and Kafka.</h2></li><li><h2>A strong commitment to and experience in applying <b>clean code principles</b> and design patterns.</h2></li><li><h2><b>In-depth understanding</b> and practical application of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Proven experience</b> with DevOps practices and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.</h2></li><li><h2>Demonstrated ability to <b>lead projects and work autonomously</b> in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.</h2></li><li><h2>Extensive experience in systems analysis and programming of complex software applications.</h2></li><li><h2>Proven ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><u>Recommended Qualifications:</u></h2><ul><li><h2>Significant experience in the <b>Financial domain with a focus on Payments</b> is a strong plus.</h2></li><li><h2>Understanding and practical experience with <b>GenAI and LLMs</b> is a plus.</h2></li><li><h2>Experience in <b>architecting integrations</b> for mainframe applications with Kafka or APIs is a plus.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Subject Matter Expert (SME)</b> in at least one critical area of Applications Development.</h2></li><li><h2>Demonstrated ability to adjust priorities and strategy quickly as circumstances dictate.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Proven leadership, mentorship, and project management skills.</b></h2></li><li><h2>Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and influential written and verbal communication.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b><u>Education:</u></b></h2><ul><li><h2>Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience</h2></li><li><h2>Master’s degree preferred</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
