Secmation is hiring a Senior Backend-Focused Full Stack Developer to support the development of secure software systems for DoD and embedded platforms. This role is focused on hands-on development of backend services and full stack applications that integrate with hardware, embedded systems, and cybersecurity solutions.
This position supports mission-critical programs involving secure communications, autonomous systems, and defense technologies.
What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Develop backend services and full stack applications supporting secure DoD and embedded system programs.</li>
<li>Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for system-to-system communication in distributed environments.</li>
<li>Implement software that interfaces with embedded systems, hardware components, and secure communication layers.</li>
<li>Write efficient, reliable code in Python, JavaScript, or Java for production systems.</li>
<li>Design and maintain database schemas and queries (MySQL or similar) for performance and data integrity.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot issues across backend services, APIs, and integrated system environments.</li>
<li>Work with cross-functional teams including embedded, RF, and cybersecurity engineers on system integration efforts.</li>
<li>Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.</li>
<li>Support containerized deployments and CI/CD workflows using tools like Docker and Git.</li>
<li>Follow secure development practices aligned with DoD and cybersecurity requirements.</li>

Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>US. Citizenship required; must be eligible for a DoD Security Clearance. </li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field</li>
<li>5–10 years of experience in full stack software development with strong backend focus.</li>
<li>Experience with Python, JavaScript, and/or Java.</li>
<li>Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring, or Express.</li>
<li>Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.</li>
<li>Experience working with relational databases (MySQL or similar).</li>
<li>Experience with Docker or other containerization tools.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Git-based development workflows.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Active DoD Security Clearance.</li>
<li>Experience working on defense or government programs.</li>
<li>Experience with embedded systems, IoT, or hardware-integrated software.</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).</li>

PeopleTec is currently seeking an AI Application & Integration Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking an AI Application & Integration Engineer to support the development and deployment of an AI-powered training ecosystem serving DoW customers. This engineer will work directly with analysts, subject matter experts, and program leadership to build and maintain the full application stack, from FastAPI services and front-end UX flows to Azure-hosted AI pipelines and RAG-based document intelligence. A strong emphasis is placed on hands-on Python and cloud integration experience, as these are essential for building reliable ingestion pipelines, wiring generative AI capabilities into production interfaces, and maintaining the developer tooling that keeps the team moving.
