<p><strong>MULTIPLE OPENINGS:  FIRST SHIFT STARTING RATE $19.00; SECOND SHIFT STARTING RATE $20.50; THIRD SHIFT STARTING RATE $21.00</strong></p>
<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may <br />be assigned.<br />• Reads entire order to gain an understanding of the exact materials needed and the <br />number of batches required.<br />• Measures and weighs cleaning materials (rubber/water) to effectively clean rotors.<br />• Sets heater at appropriate temperature (170-180 degrees) and effectively cleans<br />rotors.<br />• Reviews and preps mixer order, locating and organizing the raw materials in the <br />order in which they will be mixed.<br />• Weighs each ingredient, ensuring that the scale is “zeroed out” after each weighin. Uses plastic bags to hold raw materials as they are weighed. <br />• Enters amount of each ingredient into the computer.<br />• Ensures raw materials meet specs, rounding number to the nearest tenth (10th), <br />keeping materials at the lower end of the fraction.<br />• Shuts down control panel to perform clean-out.<br />FORM-HR-0017 Job Description Generic Template<br />C01; 12/26/2013; KS<br />Approved by: ME<br />• Inspects and cleans out the mixing area to make sure the entire area is free of <br />debris to avoid contamination: inside the machine, under the machine, the floor <br />surrounding the mixer, the doors to the mixer.<br />• Returns to order and reviews mixing directions, following each step of the <br />process.<br />• Checks temperature gauges to ensure the batch is mixed at the correct <br />temperature.<br />• Tests the temperature of the batch, using a probe to confirm the temperature and <br />ensures the batch is within the correct parameters (to prevent burning).<br />• Secures mixing area.<br />• Once the first batch is done, takes a sample to the lab for testing and further<br />instructions: modification of the mix or continuation to phase two.<br />• When given the go-ahead to continue, drops the batch to the extruder conveyor, <br />checking the extruder control panel to ensure that the batch is moving through the <br />process as it should.<br />• Communicates with Extruder Operator to ensure the line moves smoothly.</p>

     <li>Driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects through application of lean 6 Sigma, building and sustaining a strong foundation: 5S, problem Solving, KPI, visual Management, Managerial Practice, coordinating root cause investigations of production incidents and operational failures to identify mitigations, resolutions, and responses in a timely manner.</li>
     <li>Developing and sustaining maintenance systems applying TPM principle and ensuring maintenance tasks (planned, PM and unplanned) are performed promptly and on-time</li>
     <li>Leading, developing, coaching and evaluating Operations Team; working with management peers help develop and maintain a positive work environment for all employees.</li>
     <li>Reporting out on key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing actions to continuously improve them (OEE, Productivity, Quality, Adherence to Plan) Delivering targeted costs and propose plan to optimize both variable and direct costs</li>

     <li>Requires B.S. in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical, or Operations Management or substantial equivalent experience</li>
     <li>Requires interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers, mechanical aptitude.</li>
     <li>Extensive knowledge and leadership in the principles and practice of Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement models; participated in related improvement projects</li>
     <li>Good practice and knowledge of ERP (Oracle preferred)</li>
     <li>Strong team player with the ability to teach others (coaching) and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization</li>
     <li>Ten (10) years’ experience in Batch manufacturing, high SKU, low volume, supplying a distribution network</li>
     <li>Requires five (5) to seven (7) years of multiple shift production management experience including operations, service, maintenance and management functions.</li>
     <li>Practical experience implementing and sustaining Operational Excellence Programs: Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, TPM</li>
     <li>Strong technical background and experience in implementing maintenance system</li>
     <li>Previous Experience in New equipment start up and factory scale up</li>
