The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service and enriching the member and guest experience while playing on the golf course and/or other designated areas. This role is proactively engaging with members and guests, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of satisfaction. The Beverage Cart Attendant will enhance member retention and coordinate with other club departments to consistently provide the 3-steps of service, whether serving on the golf course, in the halfway house, or other designated food and beverage service areas.&nbsp;

 Maintain exceptional F&amp;B service standards as outlined in Invited’s training programs.</li>
 <li>
 Greet members by name and introduce yourself to guests, always ensuring a polite and friendly demeanor.</li>
 <li>
 Provide timely and attentive coverage of assigned course areas, anticipating visits to each group every 4-5 holes.</li>
 <li>
 Assist members and guests with requests, such as directions to the restroom or clubhouse, and offer to dispose of trash to maintain a clean environment.</li>
 <li>
 Stock the beverage cart with food, beverages, ice, and transaction supplies before service begins.</li>
 <li>
 Operate the golf cart safely, following all guidelines, policies, and procedures to avoid accidents.</li>
 <li>
 Collect payments (cash, member charge, etc.) and accurately reconcile daily transactions, depositing cash in the designated area.</li>
 <li>
 Document product spills and waste using daily par versus usage sheets.</li>
 <li>
 Maintain thorough knowledge of available products and upsell where applicable.</li>
 <li>
 Use tee sheets and line-ups to identify members and guests, creating personalized experiences with their favorites.</li>
 <li>
 Communicate with the F&amp;B Director regarding special product requests or issues with food quality, supplies, or presentation.</li>
 <li>
 Clean and sanitize the cart at the end of each shift, ensuring compliance with health code standards.</li>
 <li>
 Request and restock supplies in a timely manner to maintain proper par levels for consistent service.</li>
 <li>
 Assist fellow employees to deliver the 3-steps of service and participate as a supportive team member.</li>

 Notify management of any member/guest complaints immediately and practice effective service recovery.</li>

 Know and follow the rules of golf etiquette when approaching golf groups at all times.

<div>Key Responsibilities of the Beverage Cart:</div>

<li>Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.</li>
<li>Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.</li>
<li>Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.</li>
<li>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.</li>
<li>Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.</li>
<li>Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course.</li>
<li>Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of facility.</li>
<li>Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events and club activities on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Accountable for all checks and cash transactions that may, at times, may be high volume.</li>
<li>Utilizes Point of Sales system (POS) and creates daily sales reports.</li>
<li>Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef.</li>
<li>Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.</li>

About Your Compensation  
Compensation for this position is $10.70/hour plus tipped earnings. Employees who are scheduled to perform work in a non-tipped capacity for 20%+ or more of their shift, attend required events like orientation or training, or do not average minimum wage with their combined tipped income each week will be paid a minimum wage of $16.00/hour.

About the Referral Program
Chautauqua Institution’s <a href="https://www.chq.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/CHQ_ReferralBonus_121125.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Referral Bonus Program</a> is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. In the case of seasonal positions working less than 6-months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30-days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season. The closing date of the season is the last Sunday in August.
About Your Schedule 
Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August.  Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability.  Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement. 
While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:   
Typically work a six or eight-hour shift with a start time that varies between 5am to 5pm.
About Living on the Grounds 
No employer-provided housing is available for this position, including onsite and off-grounds options. Applicants should plan to secure independent housing or reside within a commutable distance.
