Position Overview

OrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Coder/Biller to join our growing anesthesia organization. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate coding and efficient billing processes for our anesthesia services. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX. The role requires on-site presence during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures and services</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Review medical records and anesthesia reports to ensure accurate and compliant coding</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Submit clean claims to insurance companies and manage the billing cycle</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes affecting anesthesia billing</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other clinical staff to clarify documentation when needed</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws</li>

Qualifications

<ul>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">2+ years of experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in anesthesia or a related surgical specialty</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Familiarity with anesthesia billing guidelines and modifiers</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills</li>
