<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>

 <li>Review and abstract medical records for emergency department and observation encounters to identify appropriate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.</li>
 <li>Ensure complete and accurate charge capture of ED and Observation services, including procedures, supplies, injections, infusions, and other billable items supported by the physician orders and clinical documentation.</li>
 <li>Analyze charge processing functions and recommend opportunities for process and policy improvements that align with payer and governmental requirements.</li>
 <li>Monitor real-time reconciliation for ED and Observation visits to ensure accurate and timely charge posting.</li>
 <li>Work closely with revenue integrity, billing, and coding compliance teams to support optimal revenue capture and audit readiness.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Stay current with changes in coding regulations, payer requirements, and organizational protocol by participating in ongoing coding education, compliance reviews, and audits as needed.</li>
 <li>Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines / regulations.</li>
 <li>Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested</li>
