BASIC FUNCTIONS: 

Reviews patient records and assigns accurate ICD-10 CM &amp; PCS; CPT &amp; HCPCS codes for each diagnosis and procedure on the accounts assigned to coder using official coding principles and guidelines. Applies knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology. Demonstrates productivity (quantity) and quality coding skills. Performs charge verification and adding charges as needed.

PRN: No regular schedule, work as needed.

Two years min experience in medical coding; AHIMA CCS/CCS-P/RHIT/RHIA or CPC; high school diploma with AHIMA credentialing requirements.
