Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled in others in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTask will include but not be limited to:<ul><li>Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all data center systems to maintain 100% Up-time including: fire/life safety, mechanical systems such as (HVAC, chillers, crac, crah, plumbing, controls), electrical including emergency backup systems such as (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems. Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.  Must record readings and make and adjust where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. Monitor building management systems and respond to alarms and alerts promptly.</li><li>Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required</li><li>Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workplace.</li><li>Learn and understand the data center site in-order to manage incidents and events that put the critical systems at risk.</li><li>Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, and Customer Facing Tickets.</li><li>Understanding and complying with emergency escalation procedures.</li><li>Perform additional job duties as required.</li></ul>Minimum Experience:Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>Systems, emergency generators, and switchgears.</li><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>4&#43; years related work experience.</li></ul>Language Skills   <ul><li>Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations and codes.</li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>Ability to speak effectively before small groups of tenants or fellow employees.</li></ul>Other Skill and Abilities <ul><li>Working knowledge or the capability of developing proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Access and any other software packages.</li><li>Must be able to professionally interact with tenants and contractors.</li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<ul><li>Corrigo Experience.</li><li>MCIM / Salesforce Experience.</li><li>Zendesk Experience.</li><li>Service Now Experience.</li><li>Hands-on experience working in a data center/critical facility, including UPS.</li></ul>Physical Requirements: This position will require the following:<ul><li>Walking large, campus-like settings.</li><li>Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:</li><li>Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.</li><li>Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.</li><li>Ability to Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit.</li><li>Must be able to work different schedules.</li><li>Must be able to work Holidays.</li><li>Must be able to respond to site emergencies.</li></ul>Customer Environment Description<ul><li>A leading global data center developer and operator specializing in delivering state-of-the-art digital infrastructure solutions across the globe.
