<p>MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is currently seeking a <strong>Lead</strong> <strong>Electrical Superintendent</strong> to support project work on a critical wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) project in Gresham, Oregon.</p>

<p>Essential Functions</p>

<ul>
	<li>Provide leadership and technical support to subcontractors.</li>
	<li>Coordinate with the Project Manager and Field Superintendents to ensure activities are executed efficiently.</li>
	<li>Procurement � Coordinate with PM and PE�s to ensure all materials needed to perform specific tasks are procured and available when needed.</li>
	<li>Coordinate with PM assist in determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary facilities and controls.</li>
	<li>Assist in resolving construction problems (e.g. lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.</li>
	<li>Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.</li>
	<li>Assist with I&C and commissioning & start up.</li>
	<li>Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.</li>
	<li>Responsible for the safe conduct of MWHC personnel to ensure a zero accident project. Ensure all site personnel meet minimum safety requirements (e.g. training, orientations, tools and equipment).</li>

<p>Basic Qualifications</p>

<ul>
	<li>10+ years� experience in a leadership role overseeing heavy civil projects and/or municipal wastewater treatment plants projects greater than $5M.</li>
	<li>Expertise in electrical project work. </li>

<p>The Field Superintendent will work within the Construction Management Department and will report directly to the Project Superintendent and Construction Manager. They will work closely with other Field Superintendents, Superintendents, and subcontractors. The Field Superintendent will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring supervision of the project team, scheduling, quality and providing a safe working environment. The Field Superintendent will also supervise multiple subcontractors performing extensive fast-tracked scope on large multiple hi-tech buildings. This position will be fully at the project site located in Portland, OR.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
 <li>Coordinate day-to-day activities with other superintendents, field superintendents&nbsp;and&nbsp;subcontractors.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Maintain and adjust project schedule daily. &nbsp;</li>
 <li>Manage and abide by all safety protocol.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Provide resolution to design and constructability issues. &nbsp;</li>
 <li>Respond to customer/client requests and/or issues and develop resolution to problems using technical expertise.&nbsp;</li>

 <li>Education background in materials and methods of construction.</li>
 <li>OHSA 30 Certification.</li>
 <li>Extensive experience on large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects.</li>
 <li>High School diploma or GED required.</li>
 <li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering,&nbsp;Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering,&nbsp;Construction Management,&nbsp;Bachelor of&nbsp;Architecture,&nbsp;or equivalent degree&nbsp;and/or equivalent&nbsp;craft level&nbsp;work experience.</li>
</ul>
<p>Position Related Skills</p>
<ul>
 <li>Demonstrate thorough understanding of all aspects of construction.</li>
 <li>Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method; familiar with CSI specification system for construction. &nbsp;</li>
 <li>Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations.</li>
 <li>Skills in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with project owners, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

 <li>Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Bluebeam.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner(P6).&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>Physical and Mental Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
 <li>Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is a combination of being stationary and moving about the work location.</li>
 <li>Must be able to climb stairs: Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces.</li>
 <li>Hands/Arms: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials</li>
 <li>Sight: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment.&nbsp; Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.&nbsp; The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading printed and digital documents</li>
 <li>Hearing:&nbsp;Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time.&nbsp; Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary.&nbsp; Often required to communicate with customers and coworkers in an office setting and on the job site.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Speech:&nbsp;Ability&nbsp;to communicate laws, ordinances, plans, regulations, protocols, directives, and standard operating procedures related to project scope in English.</li>
 <li>Lift/Carry: Must have the ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds to a height of 3 feet, and carry or push it 50-100 feet.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Bending/Twisting: Frequent. &nbsp;</li>
 <li>Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Must be able to regularly position self in a kneeling, crouching or crawling position for the purpose of examining project work.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Must use independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results. &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
